Myler L1 MB01 Western Dee

The Myler Stainless Steel Western Dee MB 01T Twisted Comfort Snaffle with Narrow Barrel (Level 1) is designed for starting or progressing horses that need a comfortable, clear, and balanced introduction to bit pressure. It is ideal for horses in early training or those transitioning from basic snaffle work, offering a kinder alternative to traditional single-jointed mouthpieces.

The MB 01T features a twisted center barrel with no sharp edges, designed with a mirrored twist on each side for a balanced feel between horse and rider. Unlike a standard jointed snaffle that can pinch, this curved mouthpiece rotates onto the tongue to apply focused pressure at the center while gently wrapping around the bars and lips for a smoother, more comfortable contact.

Its narrow center barrel concentrates tongue pressure slightly more than the MB 02, providing clearer communication while still maintaining comfort. For horses needing even more tongue relief, Myler recommends progressing to the MB 04.

Made with a sweet iron mouthpiece, the bit naturally oxidizes over time, creating a safe rust layer that encourages salivation and a softer, more relaxed mouth. It also includes Independent Side Movement™ for refined, independent rein control.

The Western Dee cheekpiece (3” offset ring) is crafted from stainless steel and features a fixed attachment, preventing the mouthpiece from draping or pinching. This design offers a more direct signal than a loose ring, while the straight-sided Dee ensures stability and prevents the bit from pulling through the mouth.
